NEIL GRUNSHAW’S BIO
Hi, I’m Neil. I’m a 2D/3D motion designer, animator, illustrator and director based in London. I thrive on collaboration and like to turn my hand to pretty much anything in the realm of moving image. I don’t restrict myself to one particular style - I enjoy variety, and I love a challenge.
With over 20 years of experience creating content for broadcast, advertising, digital, retail, experiential and events, I've produced work for clients including Google, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, BBC, Channel 4, Disney, Lionsgate, Sky, MTV, Bloomberg, Disney, Coca-Cola, O2, Vitra, Primark, Aviva and AMEX.
I started out making animated TV ads for the music industry. I’ve made work for Beck, Jay Z, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, Rufus Wainwright, Kate Nash, Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound, KERRANG and, erm Peter Andre.
As a freelancer, I’ve worked with some of the best studios and agencies in London including Imagination, Jack Morton Worldwide, Lambie-Nairn, Red Bee, Saatchi, Weareseventeen, Fred and Eric, Sony, Fold7, Bloomberg, Channel 4, Jump, Beautiful TV and Lumiere.
In 2015 I joined Dalziel & Pow to lead the motion graphics team, creating innovative experiential content for brands including Jaguar Land Rover, Vitra, O2, Primark, John Lewis, McDonalds and Mamas and Papas. It was here that I honed my skills in creating and delivering technically complex large-scale video projects such as Primark Madrid.
In 2017 I set up Silver Machine Studios to continue creating engaging animation and motion for brands, agencies, broadcasters, advertisers, retailers and live events. We've worked with Google, SPYSCAPE, Disney, Lionsgate, NHS, Land Securities, Hamleys, 4Wall, Redwood BBDO, Anchor Butter and Pratt & Whitney to name but a few.
I’m also a guest lecturer on the Motion Graphics & Titles course at the National Film & TV School.
